Kershaw 1820 Needs Work
Our Price: $34.95
Country of Origin: USA/Taiwan The straight-edged sheepsfoot-style blade offers solid contact with the material being cut and makes nice, crisp slices in just about anything you want to cut. Since the full width of the spine comes almost to the point, the blade punches well and is good and strong. The Needs Work blade steel is Sandvik 14C28N. This stainless steel was developed in an exclusive partnership between Kershaw and Sandvik Steel. It offers excellent corrosion resistance, hardness, edge retention, and is an all-around top performer. It comes razor sharp out of the box and resharpens well. The Needs Work SpeedSafe has assisted opening . Just pull back on the blade protrusion and the SpeedSafe assisted opening system takes over, moving the blade out of the handle, ready for use. A locking liner secures the blade open.
Kershaw 1447 One Ton
Our Price: $37.95
The One Ton blade is quite strong and the blade steel, 8Cr13MoV, is quality steel that is precision heat-treated to bring out its high-performance characteristics. The One-Ton’s wide blade offers excellent slicing capabilities, which enhances even more by the choice of blade stock and grind. They chose a blade stock of .121 inches (3 cm) thick and gave the blade high panel grinds—so even though the blade is wide, it still slices well because two-thirds of the blade has been thinned. A hollow grind on the edge further enhances the knife’s multi-purpose abilities. The handle is textured G-10 on the front and it has a 410 stainless steel back. Since only the front has a liner, this big knife is not as heavy as you’d expect. It comes with a reversible pocketclip for tip-up or tip-down carry. A frame lock makes blade lockup extra secure.
Steel: 8Cr13MoV, Bead-blasted finish
Handle: Machined G-10 front, 410 back
Blade Length: 3 1/2 inches; Closed Length: 4 5/8 inches
Tip up or tip down pocket clip
Manual opener; Frame lock locking system
The Injection 3.0 offers sleek good looks—from the tip of its classic drop-point blade to its 3D-machined G-10 handle. The Injection is a collaboration between custom knifemaker Todd Rexford and Kershaw. Look for high-end custom details like decorative pivot hardware and machined thumbstuds. The G-10 handle has incised cutouts on each side, letting you see through to the stainless steel liners. The G-10 is textured for a secure grip. Even the backspacer offers a custom touch; it's chamfered (cut at an angle) on the back end. Another nice detail is the inset lanyard pin so nothing interrupts the smooth line of the knife. The 3-in. blade is the perfect size for so many day-to-day applications. Built of high-performance 8Cr13MoV, it comes razor-sharp and holds its edge well. The manual opening is smooth and easy. Once open, the blade is secured with a steel locking liner. The pocketclip is reversible for left- or right-handed carry.
